Cathy Couture

"These are local elections and I want to know that candidates are supported by town people not some outside super PAC.

"The moderator needs to be an independent voice supporting all residents.

"I will not be supporting a candidate using super PAC money."

No PACs in Belmont

Jack Weis, Town Meeting Member

"One important aspect that sets Adam apart is his extensive legal background, which makes him the better choice to serve in the essential role of presiding over Town Meeting sessions."

"Adam’s extensive legal background would have resulted in a clearer ruling at the outset and, going forward, will preclude similar mid-meeting reversals that might impact the outcome of a Town Meeting vote."

Legal Background Sets Adam Apart

Roger Colton, Town Meeting Member
and Anne Lougée

"The town moderator’s basic “job” is to run Town Meeting. For Belmont to run properly, Town Meeting must run properly. In this election, residents must choose who they want to “hire” to run our local legislature."

"Belmont really needs to hire the most qualified person to be town moderator. Adam Dash is that person."

Let's Hire the Most Qualifed Candidate

Come chat with me at my monthly office hours beginning Monday, February 9. As Moderator, I will continue my long-standing practice of holding monthly office hours. If you have questions or things you'd like to say, I'm all ears.

Adam Dash Office Hours

It's time for a change.

Join me to chat about Town Meeting and the positive change we can bring to Belmont's legislative branch. I want to hear what you are thinking.

Note: The Belmont Public Library provides space for Belmont community events but does not endorse any candidates for political office.

Amy Checkoway, Town Meeting Member

"As a former School Committee member, current Town Meeting member, and community volunteer who cares deeply about Belmont, I am writing to express my strong confidence that Adam Dash will be an excellent town moderator. ... When Town Meeting works well, Belmont works well. Adam has the skills, preparation, and temperament to guide Town Meeting and help our community make thoughtful, fair, and inclusive decisions. "

Dash is the Leadership Belmont Needs

Ellen Schreiber, Town Meeting Member

"For 13 years, I’ve known Adam to be knowledgeable and well-spoken. His meetings are fair and do not waste time. He is a municipal law attorney, which greatly benefits the town. He is out in the community more than anyone I know—listening, sharing, and encouraging people to get involved. Also, he cares."

Experiences Working with Adam

Adam Dash, Candidate

"I was disappointed to see the recent blog post by a member of my opponent’s campaign team framing my candidacy in a way that misrepresents my motivations..."

"I am running to help repair and strengthen Town Meeting, so that every member can participate fully, deliberations are less chaotic and more clearly organized, and all voices are heard and included."

Why I'm Running: What Really Matters

Adam Dash, Town Moderator

"I’m honored and grateful to have been elected Belmont’s next Town Moderator. Thank you to everyone who placed their trust in me.

"I want to thank Michael Crowley for his sincere commitment to Belmont. It takes real dedication to step forward and serve our community.

"As I take on this role, I’m committed to independence, fairness, transparency, and respect for every voice. It’s important that we all work together to ensure that Town Meeting is the strong, robust legislative body at the heart of Belmont’s democratic process.

"Thank you so much, Belmont."

Thank You, Belmont

Roy Epstein, Town Meeting Member

"If you’re like me, you have received two postcards from the statewide teachers’ union on behalf of the Crowley campaign, which I know cost of thousands of dollars. The moderator has to be impartial in policy matters and the budget and I have to believe these mailings are intended to influence Town Meeting. I, for one, do not think it is appropriate for outside PAC money to play a role in our non-partisan elections for town offices. "

PAC Funding Not Appropriate

Emma Thurston, Town Meeting Member

"Town Meeting requires a moderator who’s efficient, respectful of their time, who can make decisions that comply with the law in real time, and who can present accurate information in a clear and concise manner to avoid confusion during Town Meeting. Adam unequivocally possesses all those qualities."

Dash Has the Experience to Succeed

Nicole Dorn, Town Meeting Member

"I am supporting Adam Dash for Town Moderator because he is the only candidate who can bring to the role the independence that it requires and run Town Meeting effectively..."

"Adam also does not express support or opposition on issues because he understands that this neutrality is what the Town Moderator role requires. Without this impartiality, people lose trust in the process and results.

The Only Candidate Who is Impartial and Independent

Belmont needs a legislative branch that runs smoothly, fairly, and represents all residents. I am running for Moderator to make this happen for our community.
